There are projects where the biggest challenge of all lies in the available time. In the case of the Samsung Road Show, there were just two weeks between order placement and completion of the container.
With glass on three sides, the container showcases mobile phones and home entertainment systems. At the entrance, mobile phones adorn the wall like pieces of jewellery, enticing customers in. Other devices are presented as part of an everyday scene with chairs, sideboards and suspended lamps. The light colours minimise reflections in the panes of glass, perfectly showcasing the black devices. The ceiling and back wall are seamlessly integrated by a concave moulding, creating a feeling of space and unity. The living atmosphere is intentionally broken. The white wallpaper with its sparkling glass beads is reminiscent of a night club and the matting on the floor plays on the boundary between the interior and exterior. Light plays a central role. Chrome mirrored lamps give off a pleasantly warm glow, whilst the products are accentuated using spotlights. At night, an additional blue lamp emphasises the effect of warm and cold.
